At the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco I admired the gorgeous anemones and seaweed in the aquarium. There were fish, seahorses, sea slugs and coral, and all sorts of weird squiggly things. The shiny gold sparkles of the piranha were mesmerising. There were also fascinating historical displays on the upper floors. I just can't resist the labels and cataloguing of these types of collections.I loved all the hand-writing and little boxes...

yoga journal
Here are a few nice white line illustrations I did for Yoga Journal a while ago. They are sort of back-drops, but more atmospheric than realistic. I just love the fish and coral!I tried to get a nice rich white chalky line quality, and did all sorts of sea creatures to follow through the underwater summer theme.
Fish Market cookbook
I've done some illustrations for Running Press in the States, for a book about how to choose, buy and prepare seafood. The cover looks like a market blackboard with chalky lettering and illustrations of today's catch. The drawings for the inside pages are pen and ink line. They were used reversed out for the inside cover.Inside I did drawings of each individual fish. There are also instructional illustrations, showing you how to do various prep things...If you're into seafood, I think this would be a great book to have! It's available from amazon.
