Huntington Library parasol

A few years ago I designed an exclusive toile for the Huntington Library in California. It was used on a variety of products to sell in the Huntington store and their online store. This week they posted this beautiful image of the paper parasol featuring the toile on their instagram. I love it!

I would love to walk in the gardens with the parasol, just like this…

I visited the gardens before I started the design, and featured little vignette scenes of their various garden areas, like the desert gardens and famous Japanese garden. Both the teapot and teacups are available in the store.

I recently managed to get a copy of Cathay Pacific's inflight magazine featuring my HK toile bowl on the cover.They even gave me a nice little write up inside...I still love this toile so much, and am thinking of doing another...

London

This week I'm in London, admiring the lights, and loving the Chrismassy-ness of it all. Along with two of my monsters colleagues, Lynn Hatzius and David Humphries, we had a stand at the House of Illustration annual Illustrator's Christmas Fair, held in King's Cross. We sold prints and cards, and I even had some of my London Toile products.I've been admiring the wonderful Christmas windows around town, and my favourites are the glorious Fortnum and Masons...and of course Tiffanys.And the best thing about London is the choice of exhibitions, and these constructed trees by Ai Wei Wei at the Royal Academy were stunning.Can't wait for more London inspiration this week!

HK toile ceramics

Here are some lovely photos of my HK toile ceramics, showing the Chinese tea time set, with rice and soup bowls, dipping plates, chopstick holders and spoons! The ceramics are available in contemporary red or traditional blue, and feature little details like egg tarts and dim sum in the middle.You can buy them directly from faux and tree in HK, along with a few other retail outlets. Huntington Library

The Huntington Library, near LA, is a beautiful botanical gardens and art gallery/museum. I recently designed an exclusive toile pattern for them, to use on a variety of products to sell in their new museum store, which has just opened. This lovely paper parasol, with wooden handle, is available now!When I was commissioned for this project, I visited the gardens, took photographs and did sketches...and then designed this repeat toile featuring many of the elements I saw there. I especially loved the Japanese bridge, the rose gardens and the cactus gardens. The parasol has been featured in Romantic Homes magazine.It's available to buy in the museum store or online here. I'm in HK at the moment, and went to visit the new Maker/Studio/Shopping location PMQ. It's super hip right now, and my toile ceramics are on sale at the TDC shop there.I'm very happy (can you tell?)...

London toile dinner plates

I'm in London, and I've just received some samples of my London toile dinner plates. They're super cute!They're made from fine bone china, blue on white, in a set of 6, and each plate has a different London icon in the centre.I have to say that I have a soft spot for the corgi...They're available to buy online and instore from faux and tree, in HK.

My London toile collection launched this week. There's a teaset with a perfectly pouring teapot...and I love these wider teacups and saucers, perfect for afternoon tea with a cucumber sandwich.The design is in blue, and made up of all my favourite London things: phone boxes, bobbies, corgies, fish & chips, teatime cakes, cabs, the Albert Hall, and more! I tried to include a few things that you might only get to know if you spent a little time there...There are also napkins and teatowels featuring the toile, and coming soon, some fun dinner plates. They are currently available exclusively at faux in HK. If you know someone who might like to sell them in London (ideal, really), please let me know!

My HK toile teasets have been getting a lot of press in Hong Kong recently, thanks to kapok in Wanchai, where you can buy all the ceramic pieces in both colours...

I'm very happy to say that my HK toile range of ceramics is now available at kapok in Wan Chai, my favourite little boutique store in Hong Kong. They are the only place in town to stock the full range, most especially the new blue pieces. Of course they have lots of other marvellous things too, so you should definately pop by for your Christmas shopping soon!

launch party

Hi all, a big thank you to everyone who came to my opening party last night. It was crowded and cosy and wonderful! Many tea sets and etchings were sold, and I hope all my new patrons of the arts went home happy.

The show continues until the 24th September, with new pieces (rugs/cushions etc) being added next week. Bring your friends...This is me, my friend Alexis, and some of  my 'Peony Collection' silk cushions. The Peony Collection designs are created from details of the flowers in my etchings.
